My eye

Not too much explanation needed on this one, just a closeup of my eye. My 40 watt desklamp is the lighting in this photo(you can see it in the reflection of my eye). I like the sharpness of the lens of my eye and how you can see the detail there.
I intentionally avoided staring right at the camera to avoid the typical "stare right into the camera shot"

This was taken with a Nikon Coolpix 5400 in AV mode with a 2.8 aperature.

Your eye is more than meets my eye.

Great close shot.

Could be the cover of a book or magazine.

It should be the cover of a book.

Thanks for the compliments. I think it's cool how something so common can look so interesting.

I agree. Very cool shot. Did you shoot it yourself or did someone do it for you? I'm not sure that I could have done that shot by myself. :-)

Thanks for the comments,
I actually shot this by myself. I think the lens was less than an inch from my eye at the time of the shot.
I would actually feel more nervous with someone else taking the shot since the lens is so close.

Well lets see...it's 24 years old, enjoys opening and closing and staring at NFL games on TV.
