Sunflower

Not a very complicated photo here. I just wanted to capture the rich color of the sunflower while focusing on the detail in the middle of the flower.
I made sure to adjust the depth of field so that the entire flower wasn't sharp. This way the details stand out more.

I used a Canon 20D with a 50mm lens and a 5.6 aperature in AV mode.

It's good, nice saturation but maybe a little more depth of field to get more detail in the middle of the flower. Also the out of focus purple thing in the corner is slightly distracting. Otherwise cool

I thought about more depth of field but I wanted to just highlight a certain section of the flower.

And I didn't even notice the purple thing in the frame, good catch.

Very nice as always! I am a bit of a photography hack. I take pretty good macro pics of my 28mm miniatures, and I like to snap the odd pic that I think is cool... I should do more!!!

Great shot, the colors and the angle of the flower bring out the best of it.

Thanks for your comments. I took this photo because I haven't seen a lot of close-ups of sunflowers.

Seems like people like the flower photos, I'll see if I can dig up some more.
