Unknown Flower


I'm not really an expert on flowers, if anyone knows this one feel free to comment. The diffused light on the flower gives the photo a calm look without being too bright. As I often do I used a shallow depth of field to focus only on the flower.

Nice picture...I also have a 20D and have been meaning to spin off my phtography posts into their own blog. This is the inspiration I need...gonna do it right now.

Manda- This was taken in Munnar, India, a kind of rainforest area in the mountains.

That flower is commonly known as beebalm...
Monarda..is it's latin first name
It has fragrant leaves and hummingbirds love the bright mostly red, purple and pink flower, as well as bee's.

I had to check out your blog since you just won a battle against my blog.

Bee Balm, I thought that's what it was. Although I know it as an herb called Bergamot. I have one but flowers never grace me.
